The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik to Perform Live for Hardcore Pawn: Chicago Fans

CHICAGO, Aug. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- A special episode of truTV's hit show Hardcore Pawn: Chicago will air on Sunday, Aug 25, 2013 at 10:00 PM Eastern (9:00 PM Central). Leading up to the show, fans can tune in to a special live broadcast on to chat with the stars of Hardcore Pawn: Chicago and watch a free, live concert by the band The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik.

The entire event will take place in the basement of the home of Hardcore Pawn: Chicago star, Randy Cohen. "We wanted to do something special for all the fans who make Hardcore Pawn: Chicago a big hit! It's going to be like we're all hanging out in my basement, talking, watching TV and listening to The Ides of March," said Randy.

The Ides of March will be playing their hits such as Vehicle and L.A. Goodbye as well as Survivor hits such as Eye of the Tiger and The Search is Over.

Jason Hervey, Executive Producer of Hardcore Pawn: Chicago and star of ABC's 1988-1993 hit TV show The Wonder Years will also join the fans live via Skype.

Hardcore Pawn: Chicago on truTV features Royal Pawn Shop in Chicago's Loop and stars brothers-owners Randy and Wayne Cohen, Randy's daughter Elyse, Wayne's son Nathan, store manager Hymie and their employees. The show was truTV's biggest new series premiere ever with over 2.1 million viewers.

The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik was formed in Berwyn, IL in 1964 as The Shon-Dels. The band changed their name to The Ides of March after bassist Bob Bergland read Shakespeare's Julius Caesar at school. The Ides of March's hit song, Vehicle, reached number 2 on Billboard's Hot 100. During the band's hiatus in the 1970s and 80s, Jim Peterik went on to co-found the band Survivor, and co-write platinum hits such as the Rocky III anthem Eye of the Tiger.

The special episode of Hardcore Pawn: Chicago airs Sun, Aug 25, 2013 at 10:00 PM Eastern (9:00 PM Central) on truTV.
