LOS ANGELES, Aug. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Luiz Schiel, one of Brazil's premier film and television editors, has attached to the forthcoming feature film, "The Writer."

Currently in pre-production, "The Writer" is from writer-director Marco Moura. The film tells the story of a novelist who encounters a mishap legal situation and undergoes relationship problems with his family and friends. In the end, all the confusion and calamity is ironically purposeful in his writing.

"After seeing Luiz's material, track record and editing style, I feel that he will be a key player on the success of the film," said Moura, known for the 2012 short film "Daedalus" starring Dennis Pietrantonio and Kerri Lynch. "He showcases not only what is necessary, but a unique style that fits the story perfectly."
