MIAMI, Aug. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ -- America CV Network announced today that Cesar Angulo has been named General Sales Manager for both of its stations in South Florida, America Teve (WFUN) and Teveo (WJAN).
Cesar Angulo brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of excellence in leading and managing sales organizations and operations; he started his local sales career in 1994 with the Chicago Tribune and then WGBO/Univision/Chicago. In 2000 Mr. Angulo joined WSNS/Telemundo/Chicago and, shortly after NBC/Universal bought Telemundo, Angulo was quickly promoted to management positions within the company; starting as Local and National Sales Manager for WSNS, then Director of Sales for Telemundo and NBC Miami in the NBC/Universal National Sales division, and then General Sales Manager for KSTS/Telemundo/San Francisco. In July of 2009, Angulo was hired by Titan Broadcasting as President & General Manager to launch their new affiliation to the Estrella Network for their full power station KTNC-TV 42 in San Francisco. Three years later Angulo also launched the MundoFox affiliation in San Francisco through KCNS-TV 38, a second full power station acquired by Titan Broadcasting. After spending some time with MundoFox Network in Los Angeles, CA, Angulo makes his way to the East Coast and now joins America CV Network.
"We are very confident that Cesar Angulo will be able to utilize his vast experience in order to maintain and grow America CV Network's leadership position among its regional competitors," stated Herb Espino, Vice-president of Sales for America CV Network, and added: "Cesar is an outstanding addition to our solid sales team."
"America CV Network has great stations with content that resonates with viewers, America Teve's programming has been a staple in South Florida with strong viewership for many years. Teveo is our second channel with less than a year since it was launched and it is already making a significant impact by outperforming several competitors in the Miami DMA. We know this by the overnight measurement the Nielsen company produces daily plus the positive feedback we get from those advertisers who are already taking advantage of advertising on Teveo. I see amazing growth opportunities for America CV, our advertisers and our viewers; I am convinced that together with the rest of the Sales team we will take America CV Network to the next level," declared Angulo.
Regarding other Management positions at America CV Network´s Sales Department, Herb Espino continues to supervise the New York, Miami and Puerto Rico markets in his present position as Sales Vice-president. Humberto Hormaza, LSM and Francisco Framil, NSM continue to provide the needed leadership in their respective roles.
America CV Network continues to attract top talent in order to achieve excellence in the regional market. These efforts will allow our advertisers to reap the benefits by associating their brand to the #1 independent Hispanic local station in South Florida, America Teve, as well as its sister station, with the best in local news coverage, Teveo.
