Aug. 12--The 2013 Teen Choice Awards aired Sunday on Fox. The show didn't produce any shocking moments -- at least nothing near the level of Miley Cyrus' infamous pole dance debacle from the 2009 ceremony.
The night's most memorable moment came when "Glee" star Lea Michele accepted the award for Choice TV Actress -- Comedy.
She showed up on stage dressed in pink and wearing a "Cory" necklace in honor of her "Glee" co-star Cory Monteith, who was her boyfriend.
Monteith was found dead last month in a Canada hotel room. Tests indicated a mixture of heroin and alcohol caused his death.
Lea Michele got emotional on stage while accepting the award.
Some excerpts from her speech: "I just wanted to be here today to personally thank all of you...you guys are most certainly the greatest fans in the world and I wanted to dedicate this award to Cory...He was very special to me and also to the world and we were very lucky to witness his incredible talent, his handsome smile and his beautiful, beautiful heart."

Here's a full recap of Sunday's show.
8 p.m. -- One Direction kicks off the show by performing "Best Song Ever." Short summary: confetti, denim and lots of swooning audience members.
8:04 -- Just curious: Is there an awards show that doesn't feature LL Cool J? Of course he's in the house tonight.
8:05 -- Co-hosts Darren Criss ("Glee") and Lucy Hale ("Pretty Little Liars") take the stage. We learn One Direction won a bunch of Teen Choice Awards this year.
8:07 -- That's a good enough reason to bring the guys from One Direction back on stage. They accept a handful of awards, including Choice Love Song.
8:09 -- Choice Movie Actress -- Comedy is Rebel Wilson from "Pitch Perfect." She accepts the award while flaunting spandex. She gets censored while talking about One Direction.
8:11 -- Choice Movie Actor -- Comedy is Skylar Astin from "Pitch Perfect." No spandex, no censored speech. We learn "Pitch Perfect" is the Choice Movie -- Comedy.
8:21 -- Choice Breakup Song is "Come and Get It" by Selena Gomez. Hmm...I never knew this was a breakup song. When she accepts the award, we learn Selena won some other awards, including Choice Female Hottie.
8:24 -- Choice TV Show -- Drama is "Pretty Little Liars," which is also apparently Choice Summer TV Show. I have no shame in admitting I'm 31 years old and totally obsessed with this show. Most of the cast accepts the award on stage.
8:31 -- Florida Georgia Line performs "Cruise." Oh joy...it's the Nelly version. Is there anyone who DOESN'T think this song is overrated?
8:36 -- Choice Female Athlete is Gabby Douglas. She accepts the award and says she hopes to make the next Olympic team.
8:44 -- Fifth Harmony presents the Acuvue Inspire Award to Nick Jonas. He talks about living with type 1 diabetes.
8:46 -- Choice TV Show -- Comedy is "Glee." Most of the cast shows up on stage to accept the award. I don't think Lea Michele is up there, though. Cast members Amber Riley and Jenna Ushkowitz acknowledge the recent death of "Glee" cast member Cory Monteith. "Cory was like a brother to us and like a dad," Amber says.
8:50 -- Choice TV Actress -- Comedy is Lea Michele. She shows up on stage wearing a "Cory" necklace in honor of Monteith, who was her boyfriend. Some excerpts from her emotional speech: "I just wanted to be here today to personally thank all of you...you guys are most certainly the greatest fans in the world...(Cory) was very special to me and also to the world." A photo of Monteith flashes on screen as we go to commercial.
8:56 -- Abigail Breslin is on stage...and she has definitely grown up since her "Little Miss Sunshine" days.
8:57 -- Choice Movie Actor -- Drama is Logan Lerman from "The Perks of Being a Wallflower."
9:01 -- Demi Lovato, who apparently won some Teen Choice Awards this year, performs "Made in the USA." Nick Jonas accompanies her on the tune. I guess he's rocking the drums? We learn Demi is also Choice Female Artist.
9:16 -- The Ultimate Choice Award goes to Ashton Kutcher, who calls it "the old guy award." He confesses his first name isn't really Ashton -- it's Chris. He talks about what he learned before he became Ashton. "Every job I had was a stepping stone to my next job...opportunity looked a lot like work." He adds, "The sexiest thing in the entire world is being really smart and being thoughtful and being generous." Yikes. This sounds like a commencement speech. He concludes, "Build a life. Don't live one." OK, I'm officially inspired.
9:27 -- Choice TV Actor -- Comedy is Jim Parsons from "The Big Bang Theory."
9:29 -- Choice Rock Group is Paramore, and conveniently they're here to perform "Still Into You." I am totally digging this song right now. I love the show's accompanying hashtag: "#StillIntoTeenChoice." Um, NO. On a more exciting note, there are some very cool tutu-clad ballerinas on stage.
9:41 -- Choice Summer Song is "We Can't Stop" by Miley Cyrus. She accepts the award, but I can't stop staring at a homeless-looking Billy Ray Cyrus in the audience. And is Miley's sister with her on stage?
9:43 -- Miley also gets a fashion trendsetter award. Hmm.
9:45 -- Bruno Mars won Choice Summer Music Star and Choice R&B Artist. We watch an intentionally cheesy pre-recorded acceptance speech.
9:47 -- Choice TV Personality -- Female is Demi Lovato for "The X Factor."
9:55 -- Choice Summer Movie Star -- Female is Sandra Bullock, who also won Choice Movie Chemistry with Melissa McCarthy for "The Heat." She accepts the award and says you probably shouldn't put a peanut up your nose.
9:57 -- With that, it's time to set a world record for the most people "twerking" at once. Um, OK. Is this appropriate? I love how not everyone in the audience is participating.
10:00 -- We're done! What did you think?
