SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/09/13 -- Chinook Communications announced today enhancements to Total Connect, a fully integrated advanced collaboration and communication bundle for small to medium sized businesses. The Total Connect updates are enabled by Chinook Communication's production release of Microsoft's Lync Server 2013 Multitenant Hosting Pack.
Microsoft Lync provides a unified experience for voice, video, meetings, presence, and instant messaging. Advancements in Lync 2013 include multi-party, high definition video conferencing, "touch first" capabilities, and mobile access on Windows 8, iOS, and Android devices. With the rollout of Lync 2013, Total Connect clients can also connect to anyone on Skype.
"I'm excited that Chinook chose the Lync Server 2013 Multitenant Hosting Pack for their platform, and it has been great to work with them in our Technology Adoption Program (TAP) since January," said Roy King, Senior Manager, Lync, Microsoft. "Their understanding of both the technical nuances and business value of Lync will be really beneficial to their small and medium-size business customers, especially with Lync's new mobility, video conferencing, and other features."
Chinook Communications will showcase the enhanced Total Connect service, including Total Connect for Office 365 with integrated Enterprise Voice, at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference July 7 - 11, 2013 in Houston, Texas. As a sponsor of the Microsoft Lync Partner Experience booth, Chinook Communications will have a kiosk in that booth.
