ZURICH, SWITZERLAND -- (Marketwired) -- 07/08/13 -- With temperatures on the rise, Renaissance hotels around the world kicked off the start of summer with the second-annual Day of Discovery. On 19 June 2013, more than 100 hotels around the world, including this hotel in Zurich, Switzerland, offered guests and locals the chance to experience something new.
The Renaissance Zurich Hotel came up with the "purr-fect" way to celebrate, joining forces with luxury automaker Jaguar to bring its new Jaguar XKR-S convertible to guests of the business hotel in Zurich. From 11am to 5pm, employees of Emil Frey AG of Zurich-Oerlikon chatted with guests about the luxury sports car and offered them the opportunity to have their photo taken alongside the top-of-the-line automobile.
The party didn't stop there, though. The hotel close to Zurich Airport also hosted an after-work party at its Next2 bar and lounge, where the Jaguar theme continued with the rainforest-like atmosphere, signature cocktail, the Wild Cat, and live music and dancing.
Those guests who missed the event but still want to keep the excitement of exploration at the forefront of their stay can visit some of the area's top attractions, from the Chinese, Botanic and Lindenhof gardens and Grossmuenster and Fraumuenster churches to the Zurich Zoo and the Opera House.
Discovery is at the heart of the Renaissance brand, which encourages guests to Live Life and Discover. This day-long event was just the beginning of the brand's Summer of Discovery, a season-long calendar of RLife® LIVE events at Renaissance locations around the world.
