One Horizon Group, Inc., which develops software application platforms that optimize mobile communications over the Internet, has announced that the Company agreed to contract its One Horizon platform to x-Mobility, a Mobile Virtual Network Aggregator (MVNA) that provides a white-labeled service for brands looking to create their own Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) proposition and enter the mobile space.
According to the Company, x-Mobility will provide One Horizon's range of optimized mobile IP communication solutions to brands looking to enter the mobile communications market as well as to its existing MVNO customers. One Horizon's integrated mobile voice, messaging and advertising services over Internet Protocol (IP) are expected to help further differentiate x-Mobility's offering to its customers.
One Horizon noted that the suite of services made available to x- Mobility under the agreement includes One Horizon's SmartPacket technology based smartphone application. Its low bandwidth capabilities enable VoIP calls over GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 4G/LTE or Wi-Fi with over 30 minutes of calls packed into one MB of data.
Mark White, CEO of One Horizon Group said, "We believe that our mobile VoIP platform offers superior service and a better user experience compared to other commercially-available VoIP based solutions. Our turnkey solution strongly promotes x-Mobility's business model to market to MVNOs as we offer a premier white- labeled solution that can be made unique to each operator, configured for text or audio advertising and can work with existing payment systems. Our carrier-branded mobile VoIP enables substantial savings through bandwidth efficiency via a complete end-to-end solution."
"Third party OTT (Over The Top) VoIP and Messaging applications have placed an increasing strain on the mobile operators' networks and their revenues. One Horizon's white labeled Voice and Messaging over IP service platform has opened up a range of new possibilities for mobile operators looking to stem such losses to third party providers," added White.
Wayne Meyers, CEO of x-Mobility said, "x-Mobility has already launched successive MVNOs for whom the core services revolve around data bundles. Wrapping Horizon's highly optimized white labeled mobile data communication platform with x-Mobility's disruptive wholesale aggregate data bundles opens up a whole new potential of innovative and cost effective service offering and revenue streams for MVNOs and brands alike."
One Horizon Group Inc.'s business is to optimize communications over the Internet through its subsidiary, Horizon Globex, which develops and markets bandwidth-efficient mobile voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) platforms for smartphones, and also offers a range of other optimized data applications including messaging and mobile advertising.
