VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/16/13 -- Canada Carbon Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: CCB) is pleased to announce it has contracted Geotech Ltd. ("Geotech") of Aurora, Ontario to complete a helicopter airborne Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic (VTEM Plus) and Horizontal Magnetic Gradiometer Geophysical Survey on its 100% owned historical Miller Lump/Vein Graphite Mine located 80 kilometres ("km") west of Montreal near Grenville, Quebec. A total of 335.9 line km of geophysical data should be acquired. The airborne survey will be flown at 100 metre line spacing on the property with 50 metre line spacing surrounding the 2.3 km2 of the Miller Mine pit area. The equipment and crew have begun mobilizing to the historic Miller Graphite mine project on July 13th, 2013. The data acquisition phase of the project will take place the following week. A Preliminary Map will be available for examination within 48 hours of the data acquisition. All maps, data and report are expected within six (6) weeks of the completion of the data acquisition.
R. Bruce Duncan, Interim CEO & Director of Canada Carbon stated, "We are extremely pleased to be working with Geotech Ltd. a leader in the airborne geophysical surveying field. These state of the art VTEM airborne surveys will be key in establishing high priority drill targets and expanding our base of knowledge on the historic Miller lump/vein graphite mine." Mr. Duncan further states, "Shallow graphite rich bodies at and near surface are extremely conductive and the depth, location, and orientation can be identified using VTEM surveying technology. We anticipate the assay results from our recently completed sampling program and initial graphite purity test shortly."
Previous EM surveys utilizing the IMAGEM ground survey done on the property, generated 17 anomalies. The VTEM plus System is excellent for locating discrete conductive anomalies as well as mapping lateral and vertical variations in resistivity. The system offers penetration through conductive covers, spotting of drill targets from the results, excellent resistivity discrimination and detection of weak anomalies.
Upon completion of the airborne survey Geotech will generate anomaly picking maps, resistivity depth sections, EM Plate Modeling using EMIT Maxwell and 3D resistivity depth voxels on a detailed grid. Those products will facilitate a detailed interpretation of the results of the survey.
About Geotech Ltd
Geotech's VTEM plus Time Domain EM system is excellent for locating discrete conductor as well as mapping lateral and vertical variations in resistivity. It is equipped with a high-sensitivity magnetic gradiometer for mapping geologic structure and lithology. VTEM plus offers the industry's highest signal/noise ratio and spatial resolution of conductors and unparalleled depth of investigation. Geotech is a leading innovator in the airborne electromagnetics industry through the development of new and progressive airborne geophysical technologies.

About Miller Graphite Mine
The Miller Graphite Mine, located in Grenville Township in Quebec is a past graphite and mica producer with unknown graphite reserves remaining. This mine was worked around 1845 and was probably the first graphite operation in Canada. The quantity of produced graphite is unknown but it is reported that 25 rail cars of lump graphite were shipped from this deposit in the year 1900 and sent to the Globe Refining Company of Jersey City, N.J. This yielded thirty-two tons of clean crucible graphite. The Morgan Crucible Company of London and also J.H. Gauthier and Company, Jersey City, used some of this graphite in their crucibles and pronounced it equal to the best graphite known to come from Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). The property covers 15.3 km2 of land and is located 80 km west of Montreal. A main road, located approximately 800 metres from the deposit, is connected by a gravel road to the deposit allowing very easy access. A power line also crosses the property 500 metres south of the deposit. There is no certainty that further exploration will result in the development of similar deposits.
