MICROMINE, the leading provider of intuitive software solutions for the global exploration and mining industry, has released the latest versions of its world-renowned geological data management and exploration and mine design software solutions - Micromine 2013 and Geobank 2013. The North American launch kicked off in Vancouver, British Columbia on June 5, 2013 with an industry event that included demonstrations of the new products.
These versions are the most significant MICROMINE releases to date with regards to the number and strength of new and enhanced features, designed to improve data management and productivity, and increase efficiency. Both releases continue MICROMINE's tradition of producing intuitive software solutions that are easy-to-use and enhance user productivity and are developed according to clients' needs, reflecting feedback and testing.
"I am extremely proud of Geobank 2013 and Micromine 2013, and I am confident that our clients will realize the benefits the solutions have to offer. Like all of MICROMINE's applications, these releases have been developed according to clients' needs," said MICROMINE CEO, Kevin Fitzpatrick, commenting on the new releases.
"MICROMINE is committed to listening to our clients and developing solutions that are fit for purpose, intuitive, easy to use, logical and flexible. By re-investing a significant percentage of annual revenue into research and development, MICROMINE ensures our clients benefit from the latest technological advances with frequent, timely releases and updates."
"In addition to the company's Research and Development Program, MICROMINE invests a considerable amount of time and effort into its intensive Beta Testing Programs. These programs ensure the latest software versions satisfy the needs of stakeholders when released to the market."
MICROMINE knows how important the collection of accurate data is to ensuring efficiencies and profitability. A key reason MICROMINE's solutions are so lauded in the global mineral resources industry is because they are practical, intuitive, easy to use, flexible, logical and reliable.
Micromine is a modular exploration and mine design solution which allows for the capture, management, and interpretation of critical mining and exploration data. Micromine 2013 follows on less than two years after the release of Micromine 2011.
Micromine Product Manager, Daria Lvova, explains. "Consistent with all MICROMINE releases, the new features in Micromine 2013 focus on intuitive usability with enhanced workflow methodologies and logical processes. Productivity gains continue to be an area of focus through faster processing speeds, flexible import and export functions and computability with third-party applications."
The release includes two new modules; Stratigraphic Modelling and Implicit Modelling, along with many enhancements and further improvements to all other modules.
"I was impressed with the efficiency and accuracy of the Implicit Modelling module and the advancement in Micromine's wireframe tools and utilities. The added functionality promises to streamline workflow. The addition of the new solid trace feature is visually appealing and great for identifying trends between drillholes in 3D," shares Sarah Degenhardt, GIS Technician with Great Panther Silver and Micromine 2013 Beta Tester, commenting on Micromine 2013's enhancements and new functionalities. "I was also pleased with the addition of cartographic quality enhancements, especially the ability to use unlimited colours in the colour sets to micro-define the data we see, as well as line variation to differentiate and classify different data sets. These enhancements and additions will improve clarity and create high-quality cartographic output."
