After the theatrical return, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release a limited and numbered "The Wizard of Oz 75th Anniversary Collector's Edition" Oct. 1.

It will debut as a five-disc set with Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3-D, DVD and UltraViolet versions of the film, a new documentary about the making of the movie, bonus features and premium collectibles, with a suggested retail price of $105.43.

Also available in October: a two-disc 3D/Blu-ray ($35.99 SRP), a one-disc Blu-ray ($19.98) and a two-disc DVD ($16.95). All four will have the new documentary and extra content.

Adapted from L. Frank Baum's tale about a Kansas girl's journey over the rainbow, "The Wizard of Oz" opened at Grauman's Chinese Theater on Aug. 15, 1939.

Free film at Turkish center

"My Grandfather's People" ("Dedemin Insanlari") will be shown at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Turkish Cultural Center Pittsburgh, 1459 Crane Ave.

It describes the transformation of a family and their country through the eyes of a 10-year-old boy, living in a small coastal town on the Aegean, and his grandfather, who was a child when forced to migrate from Crete during the population exchange. The older man's greatest desire is to see the land of his birth before he dies.
