About Pride at Work Canada
Pride at Work Canada was founded in May 2008 by a group of dedicated individuals with a vision - to improve the climate of inclusiveness for LGBT employees in the workplace. The aim of the group was to ensure that LGBT diversity and inclusion had a place on the agenda of mainstream businesses by winning the support of National and Regional Partners.
A volunteer-led non-profit organization, Pride at Work Canada is governed by its Board of Directors - consisting of volunteers from across the country - and an Executive Director. Symbolic of our commitment to diversity, Pride at Work Canada's 50+ Partners come from a wide range of sectors, including: telecommunications, financial services, energy, management consulting, law, retail, and the public sector.
1000+ professionals, working for organizations committed to LGBT inclusion in the workplace, will attend ProPRIDE 2013. In addition to networking and celebrating LGBT-milestones over the past year, guests will be truly inspired by the words of our Premier; they will, when they leave the event, be reminded that a "proudly me" mentality in the workplace - the theme of ProPRIDE 2013 - is critically important to the growth and bottom line of all organizations.
