CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 06/19/13 -- The Construction Writers Association (CWA) is accepting nominations for its 2013 Silver Hard Hat Award. This is CWA's most prestigious award recognizing individuals for outstanding contributions either in service to the construction industry or service to CWA. Entry deadline is Aug. 1, 2013.
Since 1969, CWA has awarded 50 professionals with this honor. The 2012 Silver Hard Hat Award winner was Jonathan Antevy, chief executive officer and founder, e-Builder, for Service to the Industry. To learn about the past award winners, judging criteria and applications are available on the CWA website, http://www.constructionwriters.org/awards/silver-hard-hat/. For more information, contact CWA at 1(773) 687-8726 or email@example.com.
"The roster of Silver Hard Hat Award winners is truly impressive, a chronicle of dedicated industry professionals offering many years of service and dedication," said Patti Flesher, CWA awards chair and Portland Cement Associations' communications director.
The Silver Hard Hat recipients and other CWA award winners will be honored at the Grand Awards Dinner on Oct. 22 during CWA's 2013 Annual Conference, "CONNECTED" to be held at the Crowne Plaza Avenue Chicago Downtown, 160 E. Huron, just steps from Chicago's "Magnificent Mile." CWA is celebrating its 55th anniversary as an association this year. For more information on the conference and to register, go to www.constructionwriters.org/events.
CWA members are unique in that they comprise both construction journalists and marketing communications professionals. Both members and non-members may submit entries for the Silver Hard Hat Award. Self-nominations are accepted and nominations for others. The award recognizes significant actions and deeds over an extended period, not just the current or past year.
A special thank you to the Award Company of America for sponsoring CWA's Awards Program.
