June 16--Bemidji Area Community Band begins its annual summer concerts at 7 p.m. today on the lawn near the south entrance to Bangsberg Fine and Performing Arts Complex on the campus of Bemidji State University, 14th Street and Birchmont Drive.

Remember to bring lawn chairs, some bug spray, a covering, water and lots of enthusiasm to this community event that is free for all.

Under the baton of Erika Svanoe, director of bands at BSU, the program will include some familiar band selections, a Sousa march, highlights from "Fiddler on the Roof," a compilation of the music of Ray Charles and a James Bond medley.

If it rains, just leave your chairs inside and go to the main theater in Bangsberg.
