TORONTO, June 14, 2013 /CNW/ - Legendary comedian Ron James has been confirmed to host "It's Always Something", Presented by The Keg Steakhouse & Bar, Canada's Number 1 Live Variety Show, coming to Toronto's Sony Centre for The Performing Arts on Saturday, November 16th.
Pre-sale tickets for this always sold out show are now available at www.itsalwayssomething.com.
All proceeds from "It's Always Something" go to support Gilda's Club Greater Toronto, named after famed 'Saturday Night Live' comedian Gilda Radner. Gilda's Club is a cancer care centre providing free social and emotional support programs for kids, teens and adults, helping them, and their families, live with a cancer diagnosis in their lives. In its eleven-year history, "It's Always Something" has netted more than four million dollars back to Gilda's Club.
A long-time supporter of Gilda's Club Greater Toronto, Gemini Award winning comedian Ron James combines a poet's ear for language with a razor sharp wit and machine gun delivery, making him a stand out amongst all stand-up comedians. Ron is the star of six critically acclaimed one-hour television comedy specials and "The Ron James Show", now in its 5th successful season on CBC.
"We're thrilled to land Ron as our host," said Co-Executive Producers Fred Levy and Rick Muller. "His performance was one of the highlights of last year's show and as host, he'll get an even bigger role, and we're throwing in preferred parking."
As is its tradition over the summer, some of entertainment's biggest names from music, comedy and dance will be confirmed for another all-star line-up, making "It's Always Something" one of the must-attend entertainment events of the year.
