Leading in nominations this year with nods in each of the five film categories (Best Direction in a Feature, Best Writing in a Feature, Best Male Performance in a Feature, Best Female Performance in a Feature and Best Feature Film) are Please Kill Mr. Know it All and My Awkward Sexual Adventure, each of which took home six nominations while Dead Before Dawn 3D walked away with five.
Popular web series Space Janitors received four nominations in total including Best Web Series, Best Direction in a TV or Web Series, Best Ensemble Performance in a TV or Web Series and Best Male Performance in a TV or Web Series for first time nominee Scott Yamamura.

Comedy Person of the Year is awarded to Canada's top comedy performer, as voted on by the public. Nominees for 2013 are: Lauren Ash, Colin Mochrie, Gerry Dee, Sugar Sammy and Steve Patterson.
The complete list of 2013 CCA nominees in all 29 categories is available at www.canadiancomedy.ca.

About the Canadian Comedy Awards
Since 2000, the Canadian Comedy Awards (CCAs) have awarded over 250 "Beaver" statues to projects and artists for their excellence in live performance, film, television, radio, and internet categories. Leading up to the Awards, a multi-day Festival featuring performances by nominated artists brings the very best in Canadian comedy to the CCA's host city. The CCAs are administered by the Canadian Comedy Foundation for Excellence (CCFE), a non-profit organization whose mandate is to "recognize, celebrate and promote Canadian achievements in comedy at home and abroad". The CCAs are one of the CCFE's core activities to accomplish its mission.
Canada is renowned for producing the best comedy performers, directors and writers in the world and the Canadian Comedy Awards Festival has become the event to salute and showcase the best of the year. The Festival acknowledges a definitive group of Canadian artists by presenting "The Beaver" to the best in: Live, Film, Television, Radio and Internet categories. It is a unique vehicle to salute Canadian artistic excellence.
This event has been financially assisted by The Celebrate Ontario Signature Grant program, a program of the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.
