Dayco Products LLC, a maker of automotive components, and National
Beverage Screen Printers Inc., are both expanding their operations in Barnwell
County, creating at least 95 new jobs.
Dayco Products' investment of nearly $2 million is expected to generate at least 15 new jobs. National Beverage Screen Printers' investment of $2.5 million is expected to generate 80 new jobs.
Dayco Products will expand its operations by bringing a new line for timing belt production online at the company's Williston plant this summer, according to the S.C. Chamber of Commerce. Dayco will add new equipment to the facility, making it the aftermarket and original equipment manufacturer belt center for the company in North America.
"We celebrate Dayco Products' decision to expand in Williston with the investment of nearly $2 million and the creation of 15 new jobs. Today's announcement also shows that our state's rural areas continue to provide a great environment for business," said Gov. Nikki Haley.
National Beverage Screen Printers' current facility is located at 12000 Main Street in Williston. National Beverage Screen Printers has added a 14,400 square foot building at 12002 Main Street in Williston. New equipment for the company's graphics production operation will be added and is expected to be completed over a five-year period.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved a rural infrastructure grant for $100,000 for building construction.
"This is wonderful news for Williston and Barnwell County as jobs continue to be created through expansion of existing industries. NBS has been a fixture in Williston for over 20 years and our congratulations to them on their continued growth," said Pete Grady, chairman of Barnwell County Economic Development Council.
Dayco will begin hiring for the new positions Aug. 1 through the Barnwell S.C. Works Center. The Works Center can be reached at 803-259-7116.
