NEW YORK, June 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ -- Joe Uva, Chairman of NBCUniversal Hispanic Enterprises and Content, Lia Silkworth, EVP, Managing Director for Tapestry, Starcom MediaVest Group and Marla Skiko, EVP and Director of Digital Innovation for SMG's Multicultural Division, will be the keynoters for the morning sessions at the 11th Annual Hispanic Television Summit, presented by leading television industry publications Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel on Wednesday, October 2, 2013.
Uva's opening keynote interview will set the tone of the Summit by addressing this year's theme, "Exploring the Exploding Hispanic Television Business." This focus is reflective of the current state of the fast-paced industry. The growth of the Hispanic segment is exploding due to rise in population, popularity and variety of content choices, as well as the increase in advertisers and their ad spend.
In the mid-morning keynote session, two advertising leaders in the Hispanic market, Lia Silkworth and Marla Skiko, will be interviewed together in a unique conversation about "what's next" for traditional and digital video advertising in the wake of expanding viewer options in a multiscreen environment.
"The Hispanic television and advertising businesses are the most significant growth segments in the entire TV industry," said Louis Hillelson, VP/Group Publisher of the two presenting publications. "These three individuals are leaders in the business, and we are thrilled to have them share their expertise with our Summit attendees."

It attracts over 500 registrants from the U.S. and Latin America, who are leading executives in pay TV and broadcast, as well as advertisers, agencies, researchers, technology suppliers and financial investors.
