NEWPORT BEACH, CA and NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 06/10/13 -- Liolios Group, Inc., a leading capital markets advisory and financial communications firm representing issuers across a range of industries, has appointed Robert Wotczak as executive managing director of its IPO and capital markets advisory business. He will also oversee the firm's investor relations activities operating out of its recently opened New York City location.
The former NYSE Euronext executive offers Liolios Group clients more than 25 years of senior level management and experience in capital markets advisory, stock exchange listings, IPOs, corporate governance, and buy-side/brokerage management.
During his previous 10 years of senior management experience with the American and New York stock exchanges, Wotczak was responsible for the IPO or listing of more than 150 issuers. As head of equities at the American Stock Exchange, he oversaw the management of 600+ issuers, new listings, and strategic planning, and was responsible for more than $40 million in revenue. He led the transition and integration of the American Stock Exchange into the NYSE in 2008 and was appointed managing director and regional head at NYSE Euronext, where he continued his work with a diversified group of issuers.
Wotczak's extensive exchange knowledge allows him to effectively guide C-suite executives, issuers and their advisors on all aspects of the IPO or up-listing process, as well as on the ongoing activities of a public company, from investor relations and corporate governance to capital formation and secondary offerings.
"We welcome Rob to our expanding team of highly experienced capital markets professionals," said Scott Liolios, president of Liolios Group. "Rob has garnered a tremendous amount of respect and recognition in the financial community, and his unique skill set and deep understanding of the capital markets greatly enhance our advisory and investor relations services for publically traded companies. While leading and expanding new operations in New York, he will play a key role in advising our clients in all aspects of their capital market needs. His extensive, deep-rooted C-suite relationships with issuers, as well as other key capital markets constituents, afford him unique perspectives and insights that will benefit both new and existing Liolios Group clients."
Prior to his time with the exchanges, Wotczak led the Trust & Investment Department for Commercial Bank of New York, where he was responsible for more than $1 billion in assets, including $250 million in discretionary accounts. He also served as chairman of the bank's investment committee. Earlier in his career, he managed a Quick & Reilly broker/dealer office, responsible for 25 brokers and branch assets of $700 million. He holds Series 7, 63, 4, 8, 24, and 65 licenses, as well as a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor certification. He earned his Bachelors of Arts in Management & Finance from Baruch College.
"I am excited to join Liolios Group since I had the fortunate opportunity to work with the firm and their clients during my time at the exchanges," commented Wotczak. "Like many of my peers, I have developed great respect for this group of professionals who share my passion for helping issuers with all aspects of their capital markets experience. Company executives need agnostic and unbiased advice as they look to navigate the capital markets, and my exchange experiences have afforded me a deep understanding of the challenges of going and being public. I look forward to building upon Liolios Group's world-class capital markets advisory platform."
If you are considering up-listing or taking your company public, or looking to increase your company's profile in the financial community, contact Robert Wotczak at (646) 996-5577 or email email@example.com.
