special to take Mom for a meal, here are a few suggestions of places offering
Mother's Day menus.
These restaurants fill up fast, so reservations are a must.
-- The Manhattan Steakhouse in Fresno is hosting a three-course meal for $29.95.
In addition to shrimp cocktail and salads, diners can choose from seven main
dishes, including New York steak stuffed with crab, shrimp and mushrooms, and
grilled swordfish.

-- Campagnia is hosting a Mother's Day brunch buffet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Sunday. The brunch includes all the traditional breakfast foods, made-to-order
omelettes, poached salmon, assorted salads, a prime rib carving station and a
dessert table.
The buffet costs $23.99 for adults and includes a complimentary glass of
champagne. For kids 12 and younger, the cost is $12.99.
The regular dinner menu will be served from 6-9 p.m.

-- The Elbow Room has a Mother's Day brunch from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The brunch
includes a made-to-order omelette station, a prime rib and ham carving station,
poached salmon, oysters on the half shell and desserts. It costs $24.99 for
adults and $14.99 for kids 12 and younger.
Mother's Day dinner runs from 4-9 p.m. and includes roasted prime rib au jus,
Australian lobster tail, and crab-stuffed jumbo prawns.

-- Vino & Friends is having its regular brunch Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,
complete with mimosas and Mother's Day specials. They include a personal-size
quiche, chef salad and a strawberry shortcake dessert made with local

-- Marie Callender's has a Mother's Day brunch that includes champagne, meat
carving station, omelette and waffle bar, along with fresh fruit, salads and
dessert.

-- The Blue Heron restaurant in Coarsegold's Yosemite Lakes Park clubhouse is
hosting a Mother's Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
It includes an omelette station, a carving station with prime rib and ham,
breakfast items and smoked salmon and salad.

-- Crab Cakes restaurant in Oakhurst is hosting a brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday.
The menu includes roast sirloin, broiled salmon with elderberry sauce, eggs
Benedict, salads and desserts.
For adults, the cost is $28.95; seniors 55 and older, $22.95; and children 4 to
12, $16.95.
Regular dinner service runs from 4-8 p.m.

-- Ducey's on the Lake has a Mother's Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The buffet includes bone-in ham, roast turkey, prime rib, along with other

-- Restaurants at Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino will have two Mother's Day
brunches Sunday.
The Vintage steakhouse will serve a buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The California Market Buffet serves a breakfast from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. that
includes lobster Florentine omelets and berries- and-cream French toast.

-- The Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park has dropped the price of its
brunch this year. It costs $45 for adults, $15 for children ages 6 to 12, and $8
for kids 5 and younger.
The brunch runs from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes prime rib and ham, seafood,
an omelet station, dessert and breakfast items.
-- Moms get red carnations and chocolate-dipped strawberries at the Wawona Hotel
brunch, also in Yosemite. The brunch runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes
breakfast food, cheese blintzes with strawberry sauce, pork loin, salads and
dessert.
Prices: $22.25 for adults, $11.25 for children 6 to 12 and $8 for children 5 and
younger.

-- Erna's Elderberry House will host a brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The
$62 brunch features pan-roasted halibut, tarragon-crusted lamb or an

-- If your mom is into wine, Trelio is having its "massive wine tasting" on
Saturday.
Customers can taste more than 40 wines served with cheese at the event, from 1

-- The Madera Wine Trail's "Meet the Winemaker" weekend runs from 10 a.m. to 5
p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
