The Trust Cabaret Series will return for a second season with another lineup of five nationally and internationally known performers.
These one-night-only performances will showcase singers on five Monday nights in the intimate 260-seat Cabaret at Theater Square, Downtown.
Performers in the 2013-14 series are:
Marilyn Maye (Oct. 6). Known to both Broadway fans and aficionados of jazz, the pop-song diva has appeared on Johnny Carson's "Tonight" show 76 times and has received the Celebrity of the Year award from the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs every year since 2009.
Maureen McGovern (Nov. 4). Since making her Broadway debut in 1981 as Mabel in "The Pirates of Penzance," McGovern has starred as Luisa Contini in "Nine" with Raul Julia and as Polly Peachum in "Threepenny Opera" with Sting. She is touring with her musical memoir "Carry It On."
Carol Woods (March 3, 2014). An internationally known nightclub and cabaret performer, Woods has appeared in London, Tokyo, Las Vegas and Honolulu. She was nominated for an Olivier Award for her performance in the London production of "Blues in the Night" and has appeared at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops. Broadway credits include the 2001 revival of Stephen Sondheim's "Follies" and the Tommy Tune-directed "Stepping Out."
Liz Callaway (April 7, 2014). Best known to Pittsburgh audiences for her performance in Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera's "Love Changes Everything" in 2011 and as Norma Desmond in "Sunset Boulevard" in 2012, she made her Broadway debut in Sondheim's "Merrily We Roll Along" and received a Tony nomination for her performance in "Baby."
