AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 05/07/13 -- Each year managers and sales representatives of Vector Marketing Corporation's Southwest Region gather at the company's year-end banquet to honor those within the organization who have achieved outstanding levels of sales excellent. This year, Vector Marketing presented several prestigious awards for sales excellence at its year end banquet held on January 18, 2013 in Austin, Texas, which was attended by more than 400 managers, sales representatives and family members. Vector Marketing Corporation is the single-level direct sales division of Cutco Cutlery Corporation. Cutco, the largest kitchen cutlery manufacturer in North America, sells its products primarily through a national network of college students who sell through in-home personal demonstrations. The 64-year-old company manufactures its cutlery products in Olean, New York.
Vector Marketing's Southwest Region is made up of seven divisions: Southeast Coast, Southern Rock, Lone Star, Rising Sun, Texoma, Gulf Coast and Rocky Mountain.
Two Silver Cups were presented, honoring the nation's top leaders in sales performances.
Curtis Jaques, a Cutco Sales Professional in South Denver, was recognized as Vector Marketing's number one overall sales representative, receiving the company's prestigious Silver Cup award. Jaques set the region's new annual personal sales record with $439,929 in sales for 2012.
Drew Frank, Division Manager for the Rocky Mountain Division, also won a Silver Cup for setting a New Annual Office Sales Record of $2,335,914 as manager of the South Denver office. Frank achieved $2,340,537 in annual office sales for the South Denver office and $6,345,222 in divisional sales for Rocky Mountain. The South Denver office was Vector Marketing's number one office in the company for 2012.
Other representatives who broke annual sales records were:
•* Josh Mueller of Austin, Texas with annual personal sales in the amount of $411,479. •* Jason Jeffrey of Scottsdale/Tempe Arizona with annual personal sales of $400,839. •* Jenni Erdman of Scottsdale/Tempe Arizona with annual personal sales of $387,708
Vector sales representatives usually begin as college students working part time or during the summer. Some move up the ranks as managers while others use the experience as stepping stones to other sales-oriented and entrepreneurial careers plus a variety of fields where they use the wide range of skills they gained by selling Cutco Cutlery. These skills include:
