May 04--Want to see the cinematic tale of legendary Brooklyn Dodger Jackie Robinson for roughly half the price of regular admission? You can, if you're a student or coach participating in organized sports.
Through at least Thursday, Pocono Community Theater is offering those eligible a discount to see "42," which has grossed more than $70 million to date at the U.S. and Canadian box office.
The film tells the story of two men -- Robinson and Dodgers General Manager Branch Rickey -- whose stand against prejudice changed the world by changing the game of baseball.

Beatles tribute at Mauch Chunk
Disappointed that you never saw The Fab Four perform live? This weekend, The Cast of Beatlemania has just what you need.
The Cast will take you on a musical journey chronicling the Beatles' career, from the band's 1964 U.S. debut on "The Ed Sullivan Show" to 1970's "Let it Be." The show includes 30-plus songs and three costume changes.
The Cast consists of Carlo Cantamessa as John Lennon, Lenie Colacino as Paul McCartney, Jim Filgate as George Harrison and John Delgado as Ringo Starr. A fifth member, keyboardist Mark Templeton, serves as arranger.

Rock acts invade Sherman
If you're looking to rock out beyond the weekend, you're in luck. Multiple bands -- ranging from metal and alternative hard rock to Danish and British rock -- are set to rock Sherman Theater from Monday to Wednesday.
Headlining acts Volbeat, Device (featuring David Draiman of Disturbed) and Asking Alexandria will have additional bands on hand to keep decibel levels high.
Special guests include acts such as All That Remains, Nonpoint, Motionless in White and Whitechapel.
