May 28--'BODY OF PROOF'

I'm sorry that this series starring Dana Delany didn't work out. Delany presented a compelling character of the take-charge medical examiner who happened to have a pretty messy personal life. There aren't too many female-centered crime shows, especially now that "The Closer" is gone. But after three seasons, which included a significant casting change in supporting roles, this will be the series finale. ABC decided not to renew the series, and TVLine.com reports that efforts to find another channel didn't work. (TNT: Isn't this the perfect companion to "Rizzoli & Isles"?) For the finale, TVLine reports that several mysteries that have spanned the series will have closure, so at least fans can look forward to that. 10 p.m. ABC

'CHOPPED'

"Chopped" has generated quite a cult following. Maybe it's the fascination of seeing how chefs can turn four mismatched mystery ingredients into something edible. More than that, they elevate it to make it worthy of a fine-dining establishment. Tonight, local chef Judy McLean will get her shot at the "Chopped" basket during this military-themed episode. McLean, a former Army cook who now has a catering company, will compete against three other former service members to see who can wow the judges and win possibly win $10,000. 10 p.m. Food Network

'THE HAVES AND THE HAVE NOTS'

Pretty much anything multi-hyphenated Tyler Perry touches turns to gold. His films, theater productions and TV shows are generally pretty big success stories. Tyler Perry plus Oprah Winfrey? Watch out! Perry has joined forces with Winfrey to bring two scripted shows to her channel. This is the first, which is written, directed and executive produced by Perry. The drama tells the story between the Cryer family and their hired help who work in their home in Savannah. Picture "Downton Abbey" with a big Southern, soapy twist. The family members all have secrets, especially John Schneider ("Dukes of Hazzard"), who plays the patriarch. The families find their lives intertwined in complicated ways. 9 p.m. OWN
