SEO Traffic Lab were delighted to announce the success of their first appearance at the UK's leading digital event, Internet World.
A core team of four consultants travelled down to the capital to exhibit for three days at Earls Court 2, the location for Europe's leading digital marketing event.
Throughout the time at the show, the consultants from the agency, spoke with hundreds of people and provided Core Vertical Analysis consultations.
Following the laboratory theme of the performance driven marketing company, the team's customised lab coats proved a hit at the show. The press at the event even tweeted #lab coat and declared the outfits as being the best at the exhibition.
Similarly, the lab apparatus on the stand attracted a lot of interest and visitors to the stand enjoyed placing their business cards into the conical flask for entry into the competition draw to win an IPAD mini.
There was much speculation about the contents of the test tube vials and the team displaced the widely circulated rumours that they contained vodka shots...or even...blood!
A focal point of the show were the keynote speakers, with representatives from Google, Twitter and Facebook to name only a few.
Technical Manager, Andy Birkitt attended Ed Couchman, Facebook's UK Sales Manager's presentation 'Building Essential Connections'.
Some key insights were as follows:
A phenomenal 33.7 million people in the UK use facebook and new annoucements will only enhance the social media giant's presence in connecting individuals.
The launch of Facebook Home, its own social version of Android will bring the following features:
Cover feed: Glance at your phone for photos and posts from your Facebook News Feed.
Chat heads: Send and receive texts and Facebook messages in one place. Open, close and drag chat heads around your screen to keep chatting while you're using other apps.
Notifications: See news as it happens with bigger, bolder notifications on your home screen.
App launcher: Get right to your favorite apps and post to Facebook from the same place.
Wraparound app: The delivery of the Wraparound app for mobiles will facilitate greater connectivity for users as the facebook newsfeed will be displayed even in idle mode.
Amidst the battle of the social media networks to reach the coveted 2 billion followers, the role of the mobile platform will be instrumental in helping the leader to reach this summit.
There were some great keynotes at the event and video releases of all of the presentations are now available.
On the final day, the UBM Press team drew the winner of the competition.
Benjamin Kerry of Precise English was announced as the lucky victor and new owner of an ipad mini!
After a crazy three days, the team headed back to Lincolnshire.
Richard Hill, Director of the firm enthused, "Our first experience of exhibiting at Internet World has been tremendous. We connected with so many new people and it was fantastic to be a part of such a dynamic enterprise".
The planning for next year's event has already started.
