HOLLYWOOD, Calif., May 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Pop artist Asher Monroe gave a thrilling performance in The Village at KIIS FM's 102.7 fifteenth annual Wango Tango concert in Los Angeles, which featured artists such as Bruno Mars, Avril Lavigne, Demi Lovato and Fall Out Boy among others.

The performance was one more milestone in what is proving to be a red hot year for Asher. In January he graced the cover and was subject of a feature article in the January issue of Billboard magazine for his Top Ten Billboard hit single "Here with You", which was produced by One Republic lead vocalist Ryan Tedder and has accrued almost two million views on YouTube. His follow up single, "Hush Hush", will be impacting radio in the summer of 2013.

The yet to be released video for Hush Hush was directed by Academy Award winner Danis Tanovic, who received the Best Foreign Film Oscar for his 2001 movie No Man's Land.

Formerly a member of the boy band VFactory, the singer/actor/ dancer is currently signed as the flagship artist to start up label D Empire and has been described by MTV as "VERY GOOD AT EVERYTHING" and was listed as one of MTV's Top Ten Artists to Watch in 2012.

As a solo artist, Asher has worked with a number of top level talents. In addition to Tedder, Asher has collaborated with such iconic recording artists as Chris Brown, Akon and Sean Kingston.

In addition to singing, Asher is also an accomplished actor. His debut film role was as a lead in the 2009 re-make of FAME. Asher has also guest starred on a number of primetime network hit shows such as, The Mentalist, Medium and had an extended arc on Parenthood.

The Virginia native has been singing professionally since the age of seven and has a growing presence on social media with hundreds of thousands of fans on Twitter and Facebook and his YouTube channel has over seven million views and sixteen thousand subscribers.

Asher is fresh off of a twenty city US tour and is currently hard at work with Tedder on his debut album which is slated for release in 2013.
