To mark International Nurses Day, the Honourable Julian Fantino, Minister of International Cooperation, today announced a new initiative to support the health sector in Mozambique.

"Canada recognizes the important role nurses play in providing essential health services to local communities most in need," said Minister Fantino. "To commemorate International Nurses Day, I am proud to announce a new initiative that will provide long-term health benefits to children and their families in Mozambique through vaccination and the distribution of effective bed nets."
