CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 04/09/13 -- The Options Industry Council (OIC) today congratulated everyone involved in this year's Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education (G.A.M.E.) Forum for producing a very successful program. Having just completed its third year, the G.A.M.E. Forum brought together more than 1,000 students from 118 colleges and universities representing 33 countries, 44 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia to explore the important issues facing investment professionals today.
Over the three days of the program, students heard from 23 keynote speakers on topics including the global economy, global markets and corporate governance, then dug deeper in breakout sessions on issues such as portfolio management, forensic accounting and ethical decision making. The final day, last Saturday, was focused on careers.
The strength of the educational program is why OIC has been involved with the Quinnipiac G.A.M.E. Forum from the start, and why this year OIC became a Strategic Partner.
"This is a terrific program and a natural partner for OIC's educational efforts," said Gina McFadden, OIC President. "We appreciate the opportunity to work with Quinnipiac University to ensure the future leaders of the financial services industry understand how the responsible use of equity options can manage risk and generate income. We look forward to continuing to work with Quinnipiac University on this excellent event."
"We are very proud to have OIC as a Strategic Partner of the Quinnipiac G.A.M.E. Forum," said Dr. David Sauer, founder, managing director and program co-chair. "It is the strong industry support that allows for the continuing success and the positive impact of this innovative education initiative."
