In this week's report, the CFB published term sheets for 27 new proposed placements from the mining, oil/gas (termed metals and energy in the report) and technology">technology sectors. Of those, 16 were for mining stocks, eight for oil/gas stocks, and three for technology, with the total value of new proposals reaching over $51m. Five of these placements were designated a 'flow through' issuance and there were two new debenture offerings. The largest new public proposal was by Marengo Mining Ltd (finance.yahoo.com%2fq%3fs%3dmrn.to%26amp%3bql%3d1">MRN.V) which launched a debenture offering consisting of USD$18.8m of 9.0%, 3yr debentures in a non-brokered placement.The CFB published term sheets for 34 placements that were closed during the week. Of these, 28 were for mining stocks, three for oil/gas, and three for technology%2f">technology stocks, with the total value of these closings being over $770m. Three of these placements were designated 'flow through' issuances and two debenture placements closed. The largest public closing was by Sterling Resources Ltd (finance.yahoo.com%2fq%3fs%3dslg.v%26amp%3bql%3d1">SLG.V), which closed a bond offering consisting of USD$225m worth of 9.0%, 6yr bonds in a placement led by Pareto Securities.
