The second annual BAM! Social Media Conference, set for
April 18 at the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland, Ky., will offer a wide variety of speakers and
topics and a wide variety of ways to experience the conference.
Organizer Jenny Holmes said topics will cover areas of interest to businesses, nonprofits, educators, marketing and public relations, entrepreneurs, storytellers and individuals.
More than two dozen topics will be explored by nationally known speakers and some workshops will be offered simultaneously.
However, that need not cause attendees to choose between workshops.
Holmes said BAM! will be videotaped and will be available on the website after the event, so those who find two or more workshops they'd like to attend that are offered at the same time may view the program online later. Attendees will receive a code to allow them to see the program.
Those who would like to attend, but cannot be there physically can still register online and receive a code so they may have access to the events online as they happen wherever they are. Last year's conference was recorded and may be accessed on the website, too.

Facebook 101 -- Beginners: How not to embarrass your grandkids.
LinkedIn 101: The Fundamentals
Cyber Safety -- software and features to assist employees with company-wide Internet safety.
A Framework for Social Media Marketing Strategic Planning -- a structure to create social media strategies and action plans and interactive demonstration and hands-on crafting.
Content Marketing: Healthcare Focus.
Geekless HTML -- Learn just enough HTML to manage blog posts and embed images and video.
Facebook Forever: Your cyber footprint.
Social Selling: Jewelry and More.
Holmes said those scheduled to speak are well known in their fields and attend and speak at social media conferences throughout the country.
For instance, Kimanzi Constable is an author who self-published two ebooks and sold more than 80,000 copies. A consultant, he works with companies worldwide to determine target audiences and use social media effectively.
Keynote speaker Erik Deckers, co-owner and vice president of Creative Services for Professional Blog Service in Indianapolis, has written books about the use of social media, including co-authoring "Twitter Marketing for Dummies."
Ric Dragon is the author of "Social Marketology" and "DragonSearch Online Marketing Manual," both published by McGraw Hill. He is a regular guest columnist for Marketing Land and Social Media Monthly and a speaker at many marketing and business conferences.
A social hour is planned at 5 p.m. and is included in the conference fee. Cost to attend just the social is $25.
