WARWICKSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 03/08/13 -- Preciosa's eye for a trend was illustrated once again at New York's 2013 Fashion Week when splashes of vibrant colour replaced the cool blues and neutral pastel shades that were so popular last year.

Preciosa, the leading crystal jewellery manufacturer, had just announced its 2013/14 Autumn/Winter Colour Trends, in collaboration with Pantone, which similarly showcased a move away from cooler shades in favour of warm reds, purples, oranges and browns.

These colours will be reproduced across the many ranges produced by Preciosa, including beads, decorative rhinestones and cut-crystal buttons, such as Crystal Avenue crystal buttons.

The trend was certainly a feature during New York's Fashion Week, as evidenced in the collections of Prabal Gurung, Alexander McQueen, Yohji Yamamoto and Ohne Titel. A favourite look was the use of accent colours such as raspberry red and flame orange against darker fabrics.

Spinexpo, the world leading fabrics and yarns expo based in China and New York, has also picked up on the burgeoning trend for richer, warmer shades in 2013, taking ancestral heritage, the natural world and arts and crafts as the focus to create fabrics in earthy brown, purple, orange and spicy red hues.

As authorised stockists of Preciosa crystals, Crystal Avenue is delighted to see its crystals staying on-trend with the great designers of the fashion world.

A spokesperson said: "Preciosa and Pantone have been collaborating on jewellery and fashion accessory colour trend forecasting since 2010, so it is no surprise to see its predictions being realised in this way.

"Preciosa's palette was developed with four key words in mind - preciousness, bliss, joyousness and togetherness - and is designed to reflect emotions which bring people the greatest joy and pleasure in life.

"We're proud to be able to offer our customers such a large assortment of Preciosa crystals, and to know that they are so in-keeping with current fashion trends is inspiring for us."

The company has seen demand for its Preciosa crystals grow as customers increasingly appreciate the combination of age-old manufacturing methods and cutting-edge technology that goes into Czech crystal.

A classic example is the MC Chaton Rose VIVA12, stocked by Crystal Avenue, which features a total of 12 shimmering facets each reflecting the light and beauty that surround them.
