Award Winning Plats Du Chef Announces Appointment of Dana McCauley, Food Innovation Expert, as Vice President of Marketing

MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 03/06/13 -- Plats du Chef founded in 1981, is a recognized leader in the high-end frozen foods industry and is pleased to announce the appointment of Dana McCauley as Vice President of Marketing.

Dana McCauley is a recognized leader in the food industry. She has appeared on Food Network Canada's Recipe to Riches for two seasons as panel judge and was instrumental for brand development and innovation at Jane's Family Foods. Ms. McCauley's mission at Plats du Chef is to help the company reach their next level of success. Using innovative marketing and social media platforms, she plans to monitor the voice of the consumer to create products, programs and packages that elevate brand awareness wherever Plats du Chef's award winning foods are sold.

Plats du Chef's signature products, including French Onion Soup, Pizzetta and hors d'oeuvres sized quiches and other appetizers will continue as usual; however, Ms. McCauley is considering new platforms such as snacks and even one dish meals. "At Plats du Chef the foods all start using scratch ingredients and we have equipment that can make almost anything in a big batch," notes McCauley. "That means one of my biggest challenges will be focusing on not just what we can make but what people want us to make to simplify their day-to-day eating dilemmas."

Ms. McCauley will be reporting to Jean-Marie Ouellette, COO and General Manager.
