LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 03/22/13 -- Aspers Casino in Stratford City will host the first Boylepoker International Poker Open event in the United Kingdom. The popular poker website is starting to run live events in the United Kingdom on the back of the success of its annual International Poker Open (IPO) event in Dublin which is one of the largest Poker tournaments in Europe.
Aspers Casino, which opened in twenty eleven, is regarded as one of Europe's premier casinos and is the ideal setting for Boylepoker's first UK live tournament. It brings a high end Vegas feel to London which will add to the famous Boylepoker IPO atmosphere.
Ciaran Corbett, Poker Manager at Boylepoker.com said "Our site is very popular with UK poker players. We like the idea of putting on a full scale professional poker tournament that the amateur poker player can afford to enter. It's been a hugely successful formula for us in Ireland and now it's time we brought it to the United Kingdom."
The tournament takes place from the 17th April to the 21st April 2013 with buy-ins costing two hundred pounds plus twenty five pounds. The tournament is also a re-entry event which means that players who are knocked out can re-enter on any of the starting days.
Updates and more information can be found on the Boylepoker blog.
The IPO London in Aspers Casino may be the first of many live events in the UK for the Irish based online poker operator. Despite the dominance of PokerStars and PartyPoker, Boylepoker has made a sizable niche for itself in the highly competitive online poker market. It fosters players who have a genuine love for the game, and believes in focusing on delivering an accessible poker product to the casual player while also offering the pros a more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
Boylepoker was established in 2006 and is the online poker division of Boylesports the largest independent bookmaker in Ireland. The company does not accept players from the U.S.
