As the new director of sales and marketing, Edgerton will work to develop sales and marketing strategies for this downtown Charleston hotel, in addition to leading the sales, catering and event-planning team, which works together to create memorable meetings, weddings and more in the hotel's 50,000 square feet of function space.
Before making her way to JHM, Edgerton worked in conference services at The Sanctuary Hotel, Kiawah Island, and eventually made her way to this waterfront hotel in Charleston, SC. She started off as executive meeting manager, spent two years as a sales manager and most recently spent three years as associate director of sales. During this time, she was also a member of the JHM President's Council and the 2012 JHM Sales Culture Leader of the Year.
Edgerton brings more than just hospitality experience to the table. As a College of Charleston graduate, she has an in-depth knowledge of the city, and her bachelor's degrees in both communications and Spanish are helpful when working with business clients from around the world who are looking to book a Charleston, SC event venue.
In her down time, Edgerton enjoys running, traveling and spending time with friends, in addition to lending her time as a member of the Junior League of Charleston.
