NASHVILLE, TN and BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/19/13 -- Moontoast, a Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer (PMD), announced today that it has been named a winner in the Facebook PMD Innovation Competition, which was announced in November at the PMD Fall Summit 2012 and ran throughout Q4 2012 and Q1 2013. It is an honor awarded to just seven of the more than 260 eligible PMDs.
The Innovation Competition invited all PMDs to build and present an innovative product. After a three-month building period, the applicants demoed their product in front of a Facebook jury. Facebook selected Moontoast's Social Rich Media Ad Platform as a winner because of Moontoast's laser-sharp focus on Facebook's News Feed during "The Era Of News Feed," the theme Facebook gave this year's competition.
Moontoast adds significant value to Facebook's desktop and mobile News Feed by enabling brands to inject Page posts with rich visual, auditory and interactive brand experiences. These social rich media Page posts live directly within Facebook's News Feed on both desktop and mobile. Brands can use the Moontoast ad platform to boost these rich media Page posts into Page post ads and Sponsored Stories. Brands can also get a clear understanding of their social rich media campaign performance through Moontoast's Social Analytics suite that correlates Facebook's Ads and Insights API data with the in-ad engagements. The Moontoast Social Analytics suite was granted a patent on "system and method of social commerce analytics for social networking data and related transactional data" on October 16, 2012.
Moontoast's submission to the Facebook PMD Innovation Competition showcased a mobile-optimized social rich media ad campaign with Lexus that revealed the 2014 Lexus IS and IS F SPORT live around the globe, directly within Facebook's News Feed. (See screencast of the campaign here.) With the leadership of agency Team One, Lexus utilized Moontoast's Social Rich Media Ad Platform to win the day at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, one of the largest auto events in the world.
