CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 03/18/13 -- Sway Group and Launched Productions are thrilled to announce their joint venture, Massive Sway LLC. Massive Sway will allow brands to easily work with what is now the largest and most active network of female bloggers at 40,000 strong. The sheer volume of this new group is staggering, with readership, reach and engagement that far exceed those of other networks in the space. Massive Sway will offer their bloggers a wide range of monetization options, including native advertising, sponsored posts, performance-based programming, video and display advertising, and live events.
"As the founder of a blog that now generates over seven million page views per month, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to maintain revenue growth," reports Laurie Turk of TipJunkie.com. "Display advertising CPMs are dropping at a rapid pace so it is imperative that we find new ways of generating revenue. The women behind this new company have made it a mission to better the lives and businesses of all women who blog. I am thrilled with the launch of Massive Sway, and I know this is the future of blog monetization."
The first major contract signed by Massive Sway is with Grab Media, a leading premium video distribution company. "Sway publishers will generate more revenue and make their page views more valuable through our services, and our advertiser and media company partners will be able reach their audiences through one of the premiere blogger networks in the world," says Justin Fadgen, VP of Publisher Services for Grab Media. The Grab partnership will provide the top 1,000 Massive Sway blogs with a customized and ad-enabled video player by June of this year. The comprehensive distribution capability delivered by Grab combined with Sway Group's commitment to creating original video content is a game-changer.
The Massive Sway joint venture also entailed investment in a proprietary database and dashboard system to facilitate recruitment and communication with participating bloggers. The database will also allow Massive Sway to provide quantifiable ROI for clients. "We have had great success working with PR firms but consistently hear from media buying agencies that they are in desperate need of quality (and measurable) inventory for their clients," says Danielle Wiley, founder of Sway Group. "By creating the technology to measure content in impressions, we can help these agencies with the move from display to native advertising."
