NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 03/13/13 -- Fresh off the heels of her Vibe Vixen-sponsored performance, vocalist Miesa is gearing up for her highly-anticipated debut studio album, due out later this year. "Miesa is undoubtedly poised to make an impact with pop and urban music fans alike," Siri Music Group General Manager Scott Cameron said. "Her great songs, combined with her extensive musical background and incredible presence, make for a winning combination in today's musical landscape. All of us at Siri Music Group are privileged to work with this emerging musical talent."
On March 13, Twitmusic (www.twitmusic.com) -- the leading Twitter platform for musicians and labels -- will premiere Miesa's debut single, "Antidote." Twitmusic has launched exclusives for artists as diverse as 30 Seconds to Mars, Christina Perri, Carly Rae Jepson, Brandy, Lil' Wayne, Cody Simpson, Miquel, and Alanis Morissette. Currently, 40 Billboard Hot 100 artists use Twitmusic to reach more than 200,000 users in more than 200 countries. "Twitmusic is very excited to host the exclusive stream for Miesa's debut single, 'Antidote,' and it's great that Twitmusic will be hosting the live acoustic video to 'Antidote' exclusively [the week following]," Sandra Siefert, Twitmusic Head of Marketing and Artist Services said.
Born in New Jersey, Miesa grew up in a diverse family rooted in music. "I grew up in a musical household, with my dad singing, but he also played the piano, guitar, bass and drums. I was always involved in the choir at school and band because I played the clarinet and the piano," the singer said. Miesa went on to work with the likes of Eric Hudson (Mary J. Blige, Rihanna) and Rich Harrison (Beyonce) but when she heard the JacksonCroft (Tamia, Jessica Simpson)-penned and The Chemistri (Deborah Cox, Kristinia Debarge)-produced first single played back in the studio, she knew "Antidote," would be the perfect introduction to her artistry. "I'm in love with harmonies and backgrounds that give music different dynamics. I just want people to experience what's in my heart and feel the music the way that I do."
The yet-to-be titled debut album will showcase the full scope of Miesa's musicianship, "This album has become a tour de force for the label and its team of writers and producers," Chauncy Jackson, President of Siri Music, said. "Miesa is a multi-talented, singer with a voice and star quality that is truly special. I understand and believe who she is as an artist and am immensely fascinated to watch her rise to stardom."
"'Antidote' is an amazing song. Beautiful, [Miesa has] such a great voice," Chris Geringer of Sterling Sound said. The famed mastering engineer has worked with the likes of Madonna, Rihanna, Nas, Nelly Furtado, and Lady Gaga.
