SBA LA Offers Free Classes, Including Social Media Marketing

The Los Angeles District of the U.S. Small Business Administration announced a variety of free classes for business owners.

The SBA's next class will be focus on social media marketing basics on Wednesday, March 20. All clasess will be held at the SBA LA Training Room, located at 330 N. Brand Blvd., Suite 1200, in Glendale, Calif.

Wednesday, March 20: Social Media Marketing Basics, 9:00AM – 12:00PM
In this workshop you will learn:
•How to make social media marketing "connect" and work for your business
•New tools and new ways to grow your business that you may have not thought of before
•How to define your branding statement, USP, strategy and create your plan before taking the plunge into social media
•Most used Social Media Channels will be visited. Such as: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, blogging, YouTube, Yelp and more
•The most common mistakes and how to avoid them

Thursday, March 21: 8(a) Application Workshop, 9:00AM – 11:00AM
Recommended: established business of at least two years
This workshop will address the initial entrance criteria needed for the 8(a) Business Development Program. Review tips on how to complete the electronic application and how to market in the federal contracting arena. Seating is limited to 25. Pre-registration is required. No walk-ins will be admitted.
