•Avaya Learning's Avatar-Based 3-D Learning Environment Makes It Easy for Partners and Customers to Learn, Train and Complete Avaya Credentials

•New Collaborative Learning Licenses Provide Access to Campus Ibooks/Ebooks and Online Tests for Product Credentials -- Starting With Avaya IP Office

•Curriculum Added for Unified Communications, Contact Centers, Small and Mid-Size Enterprise (SME) Markets and Networking

Avaya today announced new additions to the Avaya Learning Virtual Campus -- the company's online 3D learning environment -- which will help simplify and speed how partners and customers train, learn and complete credentials for Avaya solutions. This provides users with a more collaborative and effective method of learning, driven by fast, easy access to expert content whenever students need it, using a variety of multimedia methods.

The Avaya Learning Virtual Campus environment is powered by AvayaLive™ Engage, which enables users to interact with others in a virtual environment using avatars, spatial audio, and unique collaboration tools. This gives busy partners and customers a time-saving way to gain 24/7 access to self-directed content, such as lecture and study materials, and delivers a more immersive learning experience than basic Web-based training. It also removes the need to travel long distances to attend traditional classrooms, saving users time and money.

New enhancements, licenses improve virtual learning experience
Launched in December 2012, the Avaya Learning Virtual Campus now adds new features including unlimited access to mentoring and practice lab sessions with virtual instructors, and a streamlined curriculum representing Avaya's solution concentrations in unified communications (UC), contact centers, small and mid-sized enterprise (SME) markets and networking. Users can access these concentrations by visiting one of the five solution level buildings in the Avaya Learning Virtual Campus.

Avaya also introduces Collaborative Learning Licenses, which define a student's level of access, including the ability to download reference materials such as ibooks/ebooks and take online credential tests where applicable. Access to new content and updates are made available for a one year license term.

Collaborative Learning Licenses are first offered for Avaya IP Office, the company's flagship UC solution, for businesses with up to 1,000 users. These licenses enable Avaya partners to speed their time to proficiency using the virtual learning method and stay informed about new learning materials for the latest product releases. More Collaborative Learning Licenses for UC, networking and contact center products are planned to be available later in 2013.

Other innovative features of the Avaya Learning Virtual Campus include:

•Drop boxes dispersed throughout the campus and on individual learning floors containing downloadable reference materials, news and announcements.

•Instructor offices for private consultations.

•"Collaboration Circles," which let users enter a spot, raise walls and create a private space to have conversations that can't be heard outside of the virtual walls.

•A virtual lobby and help desk with schedules and appointment capabilities, and a 150-avatar capacity auditorium for large presentations, events and seminars.
