Buzzmedia, one of the largest and fastest growing digital media companies, today announced its partnership with digital music service Rdio to provide exclusive access to some
of the hottest events during Austin's annual music festival, hosted by four of its leading music brands and partners--Brooklyn Vegan, Hype Machine, Stereogum and SPIN.
Users who sign up for The Rdio List (http://thelist.rdio.com/) will be offered priority access via a separate, dedicated Rdio line to Hype Machine's Hype Hotel
(including Stereogum Range Life at Hype Machine's Hype Hotel), and the BrooklynVegan Day Parties between March 13 and March 16, as well as special admission to SPIN's longstanding invite-only afternoon party at Stubb's BBQ on Friday, March 15. Entry is subject to venue capacity.
How The Rdio List works: To get on the list, users must sign up for a free Rdio account at www.rdio.com,
then go to TheList.Rdio.com, browse all parties and reserve a pass for the band
performances they want to attend on first come, first served basis. Using the
web app on their iPhone or Android devices, users receive:
-- The opportunity to reserve a first-come, first-served pass to select Buzzmedia sponsored music performances
-- A unique pass phrase to show The Rdio List doorman upon arrival at each event
-- Real-time listings of upcoming and ongoing performances (The Rdio List
hosts an updateable schedule featuring events with available Rdio passes, which automatically closes once the passes become unavailable)
-- Real-time alerts from participating venues when a pass to a show or perk becomes available and the set amount of time to redeem the pass
-- Three months of unlimited music listening on Rdio via the web or mobile, even when offline

"The partnership between Buzzmedia and Rdio really highlights one of the most
important functions we both serve: offering a fantastic music discovery
experience. Everyone from first-time festival attendees to grizzled veterans
sometimes need a filter to help figure out which shows to attend -- and when --
and this innovation is all about guiding them to what we think are the most
critical events of the week," said Jeff Leeds, Buzzmedia, Editor in Chief,
Music. "Here at Buzzmedia, we've been fans and users of Rdio for a long time,
and we're enormously thankful that they decided to launch this project with us."
