Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operationsin20 countries across Asia and Africa, today announced that it has deployedEricsson's (NASDAQ: ERIC) Intelligent Modernization Network solution forthecompany's prepaid subscribers, across 23 telecom circles in India. EricssonandBharti Airtel planned and executed the systems integration of the solutionthatwill allow Bharti Airtel to enhance the prepaid customer experience byofferinga wider and more attractive range of prepaid services, flexible bundlingandreal-time control of chargeable services.
As part of the deal, Ericsson's multi-service Mobile Broadband Chargingsuitewill allow prepaid customers to have a personalized profile-based datachargingplan. Prepaid customers will be able to customize their data plans acrossmobility, fixed line and broadband by cross-bundling over multiple domains-2G, 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi. It will also offer flexible multi-service charging ingeographical redundant mode to the world's largest prepaid subscriber base.
