CEO Won, Hyung-joon will appeal his intention to re-promote the concert of the united orchestra composed with 100 South and North Korean youths in Panmunjeom to the international society. The orchestra concert has been delayed since 2011.
Also, he plans to explain the major issue and the political situation surrounding the relationship between the South and the North Koreas with the subject, 'The Commune of the South and the North Korean Young Musicians through the Orchestra Diplomacy.' Also, the message will be delivered through his lecture for the harmony to be communed between the South and the North Koreas through the common ground, the music.
Especially, the invitation sent to the ambassadors to the U.K. from the South and the North Koreas attracts the public interest on the participation of the two ambassadors while the possibility of vitalization of the private level exchange in the current strained situation between the South and the Koreas is highly interested.
In the meanwhile, Lindenbaum Music established the festival orchestra and ensemble organizations called Korean El Sistema in 2009 through Korea's first training festival. This activity has been providing opportunities to the young Korean musicians selected by the audition to practice and perform with the highest level conductors and the senior performers in the world famous orchestras currently active in their positions for the experience to communicate with the musicians from various cultural areas. Especially in 2011, the company promoted its plan to have the concert of the united orchestra composed with 100 South and North Korean youths with Charles Dutoit, an international music giant in Pyeongyang. However, due to the situation at that time, the plan has been delayed until now (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDFhEH3uPxU).
Mr. Won, Hyung-joon, the Lindenbaum Music CEO, said, "I believe, through the South and the North Youth Orchestra, the paradigm of commune, communication and harmony will be a great starting point to relax the strained situation between the South and the North Koreas."
