MIAMI, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 02/21/13 -- Social TV Summit today announced the finalists for the 2013 Latin Social TV Awards, spanning 16 categories in Latin Social TV. Hosted by Univision's Lourdes Stephen and Fernando Fiore, winners will be honored next Thursday evening, February 28, in Miami during a black-tie event attended by all finalists and major Social TV players.
Bringing together the top people, platforms and programs in the Latin Social TV space, the Latin Social TV Awards will recognize winners for the use of innovation and technological leadership in the fast-moving industry of social TV, specific to the Latin market. With both Stephen, previously a national correspondent for Primer Impacto, and Fiore, three-time Emmy Award winner and previous FIFA World Cup anchor as masters of ceremonies, the dinner and gala will celebrate tremendous achievements in the exciting Latin Social TV industry.
"We are thrilled to organize such a prestigious awards ceremony," said Andy Batkin, CEO, Social Summits, LLC. "We thank Lourdes Stephen and Fernando Fiore for hosting our red carpet event and we look forward to honoring our respected finalists and winners."
Each winner will receive a "STEEVEE," a custom social TV trophy, in commemoration of their industry accomplishments. Each category salutes individuals, brands, programmers and networks that pioneer the rapidly-expanding Social TV field. Among the 16 categories are Latin Social TV Entertainer of the Year, Best Latin Drama or Novella and Latin Social TV Marketer of the Year.
