MIAMI BEACH, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 02/18/13 -- The 2013 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE officially kicks-off this week and a limited selection of tickets are still available for events guaranteed to satisfy the most discerning wine aficionado or adventurous foodie. All proceeds from the Festival benefit the Florida International University (FIU) Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.sobefest.com or by calling 877.762.3933 up until 3:00 PM EST the day prior to an event, or by stopping by the Festival's on-site box office at 13th & Ocean Drive which will be open starting Wednesday, February 20 through Sunday, February 24 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

•Florida Blue presents Fun and Fit as a Family sponsored by Carnival featuring Kellogg's Kidz Kitchen ($20 per person/per day). Taking place on Saturday, February 23 & Sunday, February 24 at Jungle Island, the Festival's family-oriented programming provides children and their parents the opportunity to see their favorite celebrity chefs and culinary personalities for hands-on culinary demonstrations, healthy food samplings, physical fitness activities, and interactive learning experiences.
•Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village (Sunday, February 24; $225/person). The Festival's signature white tents will be overflowing with samplings from the finest restaurants, wines and spirits in the MasterCard® Grand Tasting Tents. In addition, the KitchenAid Culinary Demonstration Stages will be rocking the beach with culinary superstars like Paula Deen, Bobby Flay, Guy Fieri, Trisha Yearwood, Andrew Zimmern; plus José Andrés will conduct the Festival's first-ever culinary demonstration entirely in Spanish, and many more!
•Like to sleep in on Sundays? The Festival has a NEW ticket option for the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village on Sunday, February 24 called the 3-6 PM Afternoon Fix! Priced at just $125, enjoy the KitchenAid Culinary Demonstrations and Food Network Book Signings from 3:00 - 6:00 PM plus access from 3:00 - 5:00 PM to the MasterCard® Grand Tasting Tents which feature samplings from more than 40 restaurants and 100 wine and spirits suppliers.
•diet pepsi presents Trucks on Midtown's Tracks sponsored by Eventstar Structures hosted by Andrew Zimmern (Sunday, February 24; $85/person). The Festival and Travel Channel's Andrew Zimmern has gathered more than 20 of South Florida's most popular food trucks -- including Zimmern's own AZ Canteen -- for the ultimate party in Midtown!
