Twenty new plant introductions including our 2013 Plant of the Year Phlox 'Perfect Pink'. Since the collaboration with American Meadow, he will be spending a lot more time in the garden working on new plants to introduce exclusively to High Country Gardens customers.

SANTA FE, NM and WILLISTON, VT -- (Marketwire) -- 02/14/13 -- In 1993, High Country Gardens was born out of a need for plants that could thrive in challenging growing conditions. Through the years, High Country has built a national reputation for durable, waterwise perennials, many of which were developed exclusively by founder, David Salman. In 2013, High Country Gardens celebrates its 20th anniversary with the introduction of twenty new perennials bred and chosen for even the most demanding environments. "Innovation is at the heart of what we do and that is no better exemplified than our 2013 Plant of the Year Phlox Perfect Pink, our 2013 Plant of the Year," explained Salman. "I have been refining this particular variety since 1990 and am excited to be offering it in this season's catalog."

The Salman family is also pleased to announce that High Country Gardens has been acquired by American Meadows, a leader in direct-to-consumer gardening products.
