The Ethel M Chocolate Factory and its retail shop within the California Hotel will extend business hours on Valentine's Day by opening at 7 a.m. so guests can grab a gift before work. Ethel M's Valentine's Day offerings include heart-shaped boxes, tins of solid chocolate hearts, brittle and more. The factory is selling pre-ordered chocolate dipped strawberries at two for $8. Max Brenner -- Chocolate by the Bald Man offers the new Bursting Heart Chocolate Box and Sweet Love Bonbon Box at the shop in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. The Bursting Heart Chocolate Box is a heart-shaped tin featuring coconut cubes and is $11.90 per tin. The Sweet Love chocolate box is a colorful square box with a heart-shaped window that features nine printed bonbons in a variety of flavors. The Sweet Love chocolate box is $12.90 and includes nine bonbons.
Payard features Valentine's Day chocolate boxes from Francois Payard's Essence of Spring Chocolate Collection. The 12-piece boxes are $28 and 30-piece boxes are $55.
Enjoy Valentine's Day treats by B Sweet Candy Boutique including pink vanilla cotton candy with red edible glitter available throughout the month of February and Valentine candy bouquets for $19.99.
Garrett Popcorn Shops at Miracle Mile Shops offers the Lover's Mix, served in a signature pink tin filled with sweet chocolate-covered caramel crisp and spicy cheese corn. The special edition flavor is available through Thursday. Customers may buy the Lover's Mix either with the two flavors together in a one-gallon tin ($39) or side-by-side in a two-gallon tin ($69).
Sugar Factory's gift baskets for Valentine's Day are available online and at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Cupid's Candy Fix features a milk chocolate conversation heart pop, Sweet Tarts, Shockers, a lace heart jumbo lemon sugar cookie, signature Sugar Factory chocolate bars and more, all packaged in Cupid's Arrow mini planter pot for $42. Send your love a Secret Admirer basket, a wooden mailbox stuffed with treats, including milk chocolate-covered pretzels, a bedazzled box of Sweethearts and sour gummy lips, priced at $52. Specialty Valentine's Day dining options and drink specials:
Cabo Wabo Cantina at Miracle Mile Shops inside Planet Hollywood presents the "Love Stinks, Let's Drink" party featuring the Sangarita, a combination of margarita and sangria, for $10 a glass and $30 per pitcher. Anti-Valentine's shots include the Ex-Boyfriend, a blend of Patron XO Cafe and Bailey's Irish Cream, and the Ex-Girlfriend, a mix of tequila and Tabasco, both priced at $5.
Tacos & Tequila at Luxor offers a Valentine's Day prix fixe menu at $29 per person. The menu features starters including shrimp ceviche shots, chicken quesadillas and beef flautas. Entree choices include a trio of enchiladas, the Taste of T&T featuring pork carnitas, or the combination taco platter. All entrees are served with a side of Mexican black beans and rice. Desserts include traditional Mexican flan, a chocolate morenita sundae or tres leches cake. Couples can add Patron Tequila flights that include silver, reposado and anejo for $15. Guests can upgrade their meal to the "Get a Heart On" package, which includes dinner for two at T&T plus two tickets to "Fantasy" and a copy of 2013 "Barely Bejeweled" calendar featuring the ladies of "Fantasy," for $140.
