PHOENIX, AZ -- (Marketwire) -- 02/11/13 -- To celebrate the New Year, the Residence Inn Phoenix is unveiling a new look, giving new meaning to the traditional hotel room. The Refreshed, Grand Canyon University hotel will share its new upscale look and feel to city officials and members of local businesses.
While the unveiling will bring many pleasant surprises, clients and guests of this extended-stay hotel in north Phoenix have been kept in the loop of all the changes with the hotel's LEGO project.
At the start of the renovation, the hotel informed clients of the work in progress by delivering a package of LEGOs with directions for them to start building. As the renovations of its public spaces and hotel rooms in Phoenix started to take shape, clients were sent additional pieces to expand their own projects. Those who toured the property got special LEGO pieces to add to their buildings.
Those attending the RI-fresh unveiling party will be bringing their LEGO projects along, and guests will vote on the best creation. The winner will receive a weekend stay at the Residence Inn Carlsbad, tickets to LEGOLAND and a gas card. All of the LEGO creations will be donated to Butterfly House, a Phoenix area non-profit that's 100% volunteer run and provides support, assistance, empowerment, counseling and more to victims and survivors of domestic violence.
Ninety percent of the renovations are already complete, and Marriott Rewards® members can get a sneak peak when booking exclusive hotel deals in Phoenix. With this special offer, available for a limited time through March 31, 2013, Marriott Rewards members can earn 500 bonus points per night when they stay Friday through Sunday nights. To book, visit the hotel website, or call 1-800-MARRIOTT from within the US. Make sure the promotional code M11 appears when booking online, or request it when making phone reservations.
