Dec. 05--PICK O' THE WEEK: "Red 2" (PG-13) Though Morgan Freeman is sorely missed -- he was killed in the second act of the first film -- an ensemble cast clearly having fun and a spectacular car chase carry this sequel to the top of this week's leaderboard. A-

"All is Bright" (R) Paul Rudd and Paul Giamatti elevate this story of two clueless men selling Christmas trees with their camaraderie and heartfelt performances. B

"I Am ZoZo" (unrated) Incredibly lame horror fare filled with inexplicable music montages, collectively horrible acting and absolutely zero scares. F

"The Canyons" (R) While Lindsay Lohan is showing some signs of recovering her acting career, she has to pick better material. C+

"C.O.G." (R) The dialogue is funny and poignant, everything you'd expect from a story written by David Sedaris. There are troubles with the film's continuity, though, causing a slag in the second act that keeps the film from greatness. B-

"Getaway" (PG-13) While the Mustang was the real star of this blatant rip-off of the WWE's "12 Rounds" films, the car chases were stale, as were its stars who, to be fair, were not given much to work with. D

"I Declare War" (Unrated) This story of a group of kids getting all "Lord of the Flies" while playing war lacks believability but it is engrossing regardless. B

"Jobs" (PG-13) Biopic portrays Apple founder Steve Jobs as a ruthless bully, which has been substantiated many times over by those who worked with him. But it also completely ignores his personal life, his deal with Pixar and the years between his gigs at Apple. B

"The Look of Love" (R) Michael Winterbottom and Steve Coogan -- who also collaborated on the delightful "24 Hour Party People" -- don't have the same success in this biopic of Paul Raymond, a club owner and publisher in 1960s London. The film has the right look but plays his life as a series of vignettes, resulting in a incohesive shamble. C-

"Mars" (unrated) Rotoscoped space movie is a mixed bag, sounding deviously clever but looking achingly cheap as the same time. B-

"Moms Mabley" (unrated) A cavalcade of comedians, including Bill Cosby, Eddie Murphy, Joan Rivers and host-director Whoopi Goldberg pay tribute to the woman who not only changed the landscape for women and African-Americans in television. But it's the footage of Mabley that will give you an appreciation of her skills. A-

"The Smurfs 2" (PG) Disappointing follow-up to the surprise 2011 hit still boasts a wonderfully game Hank Azaria as the evil wizard Gargamel but the cute seems to have run its course. C+

"The Wolverine" (R) While better than its predecessor, the best scene by far comes after the credits start to roll. B-
