SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 12/17/13 --
A10 Networks, a technology leader in Application Networking, today announced that Tremor Video (NYSE: TRMR), a leader in digital video advertising, selected A10's Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) to support its current and peak-level scalability requirements. A10's full set of application delivery, networking and acceleration features, combined with A10's support model, enables Tremor Video to support the high-volume of online video ad impressions served every month.
A10's ADCs include a broad feature set that met multiple application delivery requirements critical to Tremor Video, such as SSL Offload, Layer 7 application switching and server load balancing, all in a "one rack unit" appliance. Comprehensive support services combined with high hardware reliability provide Tremor Video's in-stream video advertising and real time analytics and revenue data with greater uptime and availability.
Tremor Video selected A10's mid-range AX Series, which includes 10Gb ports and is based on A10's scalable, shared memory Application Core Operating System (ACOS) architecture. ACOS high performance scalable architecture enables the AX Series to support Tremor Video's growing traffic needs, and A10's application optimization features such as SSL Offload and RAM Caching allow Tremor Video to reduce data center cost and complexity.
"We chose A10 Networks for our application delivery needs, because its application feature set is of exceptional value. The pricing model of an all-inclusive feature set alleviates headaches associated with massive costs for advanced features that we require," said Presley Acuna, senior director of systems engineering at Tremor Video. "Additionally, we were extremely impressed by the stellar support. The knowledge and personal attention received from A10's support team provided us with the necessary tools from beginning to end for a quick and efficient deployment."
"We are proud to provide Tremor Video with the advanced Application Delivery Controller platform it required to support in-stream video advertising and real time analytics for greater website uptime and availability," said Ray Smets, A10 Networks vice president of worldwide sales. "Our Thunder Series and AX Series platforms provide customers with the flexibility to deploy reliable, scalable and flexible applications that will meet highly complex network design requirements, and our world-class support team is readily available to assist from beginning to end with the deployment."
