Dec. 17--ENID, Okla. -- Services to Suddenlink customers in Enid were restored at about 3 p.m. today.
Gene Regan, senior director of corporate communications for Suddenlink, said a service interruption affecting Internet and phone services as well as some Oklahoma City TV stations began at about 11 a.m.
"A road construction crew in the Oklahoma City area accidentally cut fiber-optic cable that is operated and maintained by another telecommunications company," Regan said. "Our engineers detected the problem immediately through our 24-hour network monitoring and immediately began working with people from the other provider to get services restored. We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers."
