Xfinity TV Go Combines All Out-of-Home Viewing Experiences Into One Convenient App
PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Today Comcast launched a major update to its Xfinity TV Player App, now called Xfinity TV Go. The new Xfinity TV Go app enables customers to watch up to 35 television channels over the Internet on their Apple and Android-powered mobile devices. Coupled with the ability to stream more than 25,000 On Demand choices and download thousands of hit movies and TV shows to watch offline later, Xfinity TV Go provides everything Xfinity TV customers need for accessing all their favorite content on-the-go.
Xfinity TV customers are able to watch up to 35 live TV channels from the app, depending on their subscription, wherever there's a WiFi connection. Participating networks at launch include BBC World News, beIN SPORT, beIN SPORT en Espanol, Big Ten Network, CNBC, CNN, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPN Deportes, ESPNEWS, ESPNU, FOX Business Channel, FOX News Channel, FOX Sports 1, FX, FXX, Golf Channel, HLN, MSNBC, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD, NBC Sports Network and all seven Pac-12 Networks, with more to come.
"Television isn't just about the living room anymore," said Charlie Herrin, Senior Vice President, Product Design and Development for Comcast Cable. "No matter how or where people want to watch news, sports or kids' programming, we think it should be simple. With Xfinity TV Go, we're giving customers all the entertainment they want in one place, in the palm of their hand."
Since 2012, Comcast has provided its Xfinity TV customers the ability to watch select live programming online via Xfinity.com/TV. With the Xfinity TV Go app, they now have a new option to watch the latest news, sports and pop culture events live as they unfold, wherever they are.
